How to upload robot.txt file to blogger blog

In this post I am going to show you how to upload robot.txt file to blogger blog. Most of us have a impression that we cannot upload any files to a blogger blog as we do not have ftp or files uploading facility other than for images. However, blogger has provided a simple solution for that.

According to Webmaster Tools 906 URLs are blocked. In another words Google is not indexing most of my blog pages. Also, I can see the robot.txt file and it's content for my blogger blog. I wanted to edit robot.txt file to fix the above issue.

How to edit robots.txt in blogspot blog

1. Logged in to your blog (blogger.com) 
2. Go to Settings 
3. Go to Search preferences 
4. At the bottom you can see Custom robot.txt option 
5. Click Edit
6. Enable custom robot.txt content by selecting yes 
7. Then edit, type or copy and paste robot.txt file content as you want. 
8. Click save changes

Done!!
